Tyrone Craig, 1 Injured in Alleged Drunk Driver Accident in Irving, TX

Irving, TX — July 2, 2023, Tyrone Craig and another driver were injured following an alleged drunk driving accident on the President George Bush Turnpike.

Investigators said that the incident took place at approximately 5:36 a.m. along the turnpike near mile marker 950.

Authorities released information which indicates that 36-year-old Tyrone Craig was in a Chevy Malibu said to be going northbound along the President George Bush Turnpike. It appears that a Hyundai Sonata was traveling the wrong direction, going southbound on the northbound lanes. This led to the two vehicles colliding head-on.

As a result of the crash, authorities say both Craig and the other driver had incapacitating injuries. Police say the driver of the Hyundai was under the influence of alcohol at the time of the crash. There were no confirmed charges or citations mentioned in preliminary reports. No further information can be confirmed.
