Two Teens Killed, Three Injured in Dump Truck Accident on Route 35 in Bartlett, IL

Bartlett, IL — August 31, 2023, two teenagers were killed, and three were injured in a dump truck collision at Route 35 and Kenyon Road in Bartlett, IL.

Authorities indicate that on August 31, a fatal accident occurred when two vehicles collided in Bartlett. According to reports, the crash happened around 7:00 in the morning.

Investigators say a Honda and a dump truck collided in the intersection of Route 35 and Kenyon Road. Details are limited as authorities determine the events that led to the crash. Sources say the collision left the dump truck overturned and both vehicles in a field near the road.

Officials confirmed four high school students were in the Honda, two of whom suffered fatal injuries in the crash. The truck driver, Honda driver, and passenger reportedly sustained non-life-threatening injuries.
