Abraham Perez Celedon, Cristian Perez Celedon Tractor-Trailer Accident on Mines Road in Laredo, TX

UPDATE (September 13, 2023): According to new information from the Laredo Police, the truck driver involved in the fatal crash which killed in Abraham and Cristian Perez Celedon was cited for failure to yield the right of way. Additional details are forthcoming pending investigations.

UPDATE (September 5, 2023): Recent reports about the accident identify the victims killed and clarify some of the details surrounding the crash. It appears two brothers, 21-year-old Abraham Perez Celedon and 18-year-old Cristian Perez Celedon, were in a a northbound vehicle on Mines Road. Ahead, reports claim that a tractor-trailer was "exiting a nearby warehouse." As it did so, the northbound vehicle crashed beneath the trailer, ultimately killing Abraham Perez Celedon and Cristian Perez Celedon.

Images of the accident in the news as well as Google images as recent as March 2023 appear to show the collision happened near or at a crossover where traffic crossing or turning onto the highway has a stop sign while highway lanes do not. Authorities have not specified who had the right-of-way leading up to the collision. It's also unclear if any charges or citations are being considered. Right now, the accident remains under investigation.

According to current information provided by the Laredo Police Department, the crash occurred at approximately 8:58 a.m. along Mines Road at the intersection of Pinto Valle Road.

The cause of the crash has not been specified at this time, and circumstances surrounding it remain under investigation. Details say that a car somehow crashed and became wedged beneath a tractor-trailer. As a result, details suggest at least one person was killed.

It's unclear at this time if there were any other injuries resulting from the crash. Authorities have not indicated any pending charges or citations. Their investigations are ongoing, and further information is pending their findings.
