Teenager Killed in Pedestrian Accident on East 18th in Weslaco, TX

Weslaco, TX — July 15, 2023, a teenager was killed as the result of a pedestrian accident that happened at 10:50 p.m. on East 18th Street.

Investigators said in their statements that the collision occurred near the intersection of East 18th Street and International Boulevard.

According to officials, a 19-year-old woman was walking along the eastbound lane of East 18th. While walking, it appears a Mercury Grand Marquis struck the teenager.

The collision resulted in the victim sustaining fatal injuries. There were no other confirmed injuries mentioned by authorities. It's also unclear whether or not there will be official charges or citations. No further information can be confirmed at this time.
