Freeport Man Killed in Single-Vehicle Accident on County Road 595 in Brazoria County, TX

Brazoria County, TX — July 16, 2023, a Freeport man was killed as the result of a single-vehicle car accident at around 2:12 a.m. along County Road 595.

Preliminary information about the accident released by authorities indicates that the crash took place near the intersection of C.R. 595 and F.M. 523.

According to officials, a 21-year-old Freeport man was behind the wheel of a Chevy pickup going westbound along the roadway. For reasons unconfirmed, the vehicle ran off-road where it hit an electric pole. The vehicle the flipped over along the roadside ditch.

As a result of the crash, the Freeport man sustained fatal injuries. It does not appear there were any other passengers or motorists involved. Investigations into the accident have yet to confirm specific factors leading to the crash.
