Cotulla Man Killed in Pedestrian Accident on I-35 in La Salle County, TX

La Salle County, TX — July 21, 2023, a Cotulla man was fatally injured following a pedestrian accident at around 2:20 a.m. along Interstate 35.

According to initial details about the fatal accident, the incident occurred in the area of Interstate 35 northbound mile marker 73.

Officials said in statements that a 34-year-old Cotulla man was walking in the area of the northbound lanes. It appears that he had been involved in a prior crash. While outside of his vehicle, for reasons unclear, a tractor-trailer hit the man, then continued driving and left the scene.

As a result of the collision, the Cotulla man succumbed to fatal injuries. There were no other reported injuries. Investigations appear to be ongoing pending the identification of the truck driver reportedly involved in the collision.
