Daniel Riley Thurman, Riley Hernandez Killed, Two Injured in Car Accident in El Paso, TX

El Paso, TX — June 22, 2023, Daniel Riley Thurman and Riley Hernandez were killed, and two people were injured in a car crash at U.S. Route 54 and McCombs Street in El Paso, TX.

Authorities indicate that on June 22, a fatal accident occurred when two vehicles collided in El Paso. Investigators say the crash happened when a car failed to stop at a red light at the U.S. Route 54 and McCombs Street intersection. The car collided with another vehicle, leaving two people dead and injuring two others.

Officials confirmed the driver of the car, 19-year-old Daniel Riley Thurman, and passenger Riley Hernandez, 18, suffered fatal injuries in the crash. According to reports, the other vehicle driver, a 31-year-old, and a child passenger sustained minor injuries in the accident.

No other injuries were reported. Authorities are investigating the events that led to the crash.
