Areli Benitez Arzate Killed in Single-Vehicle Accident in Williamson County, TX

Williamson County, TX — July 30, 2023, Areli Benitez Arzate was killed as the result of a single-vehicle car accident at around 10:04 p.m. along F.M. 970.

According to current information released by authorities, the incident took place at the intersection of Farm-to-Market 970 and County Road 219.

Details at this time are scarce. Authorities have said in preliminary statements that Areli Benitez Arzate was the driver of a Cadillac Escalade going southwest along F.M. 970. Somehow, the vehicle lost control, causing the vehicle to careen left of center and off-road. There, the vehicle then crashed on a gravel mound in a construction area before catching fire.

It appears that Benitez Arzate died as a result of the accident. Authorities did not release Benitez Arzate's age in their statements. They also have yet to officially release a cause for the crash. Investigations are ongoing.
