Christie Oliver Injured in Car Accident in Waco, TX

Waco, TX — July 29, 2023, Christie Lavetta Oliver was injured as the result of an apparent hit-and-run accident at 9:01 p.m. along China Spring Road.

Preliminary information about the accident says that the crash took place near the intersection of China Spring Road and Prickly Pear Drive.

According to authorities, 48-year-old Christie Oliver was in a Chevy Malibu said to be going southbound along China Spring. It appears that a Chevy Silverado also going southbound somehow hit the curb along the median, then veered to the right. This resulted in the Silverado crashing with Oliver's car. The collision forced the Malibu off-road, and it appears the Silverado continued driving and left the scene.

Due to the crash, Oliver sustained injuries believed to be incapacitating. There were no other reported injuries. At this time, there is no indication that authorities have identified the runaway driver. Investigations are ongoing at this time.
