According to officials, 38-year-old Lacy Van Zandt was said to be behind the wheel of a Mini Cooper traveling eastbound along the highway. It appears there was a Ford F-150 going westbound which somehow went left of center. Doing so, the two vehicles ended up colliding head-on, police say.

Due to this collision, details show that Van Zandt sustained fatal injuries. The other driver, unidentified at this time, reportedly had incapacitating injuries. Currently, there are allegations that the F-150 had been behaving erratically prior to the collision, and authorities also mentioned they found alcoholic beverages at the scene. However, it cannot be confirmed at this time whether or not alcohol contributed to the crash.
