One Injured in Semi-Truck Accident on Highway 88 in Amador County, CA

Amador County, CA — August 7, 2023, one person was injured in a semi-truck collision near Mormon Emigrant Trail on Highway 88 in Amador County, CA.

Authorities indicate that on August 7, an accident occurred when a semi-truck crashed while traveling along Highway 88 in Amador County. According to reports, the accident happened shortly after 3:00 in the afternoon.

Investigators say the truck suddenly veered off Highway 88 and went down a roadside embankment. Police say the truck had gone down the embankment approximately 100 feet. The driver was reportedly pulled out by a rescue crew.

Officials confirmed the semi-truck driver suffered injuries in the accident, but the injuries were said to be non-life-threatening. No other injuries were reported.
