Cynthia Shott Injured in 18-wheeler Accident in Longview, TX

Longview, TX — July 23, 2023, Cynthia Shott was injured as the result of an 18-wheeler accident at around 2:31 p.m. along Spur 63.

In initial statements released by the authorities, the incident reportedly occurred at the intersection of Spur 63, Hill Street, and Judson Road.

According to officials, 65-year-old Cynthia Shott was in a Toyota Camry said to be going eastbound along Spur 63. At the intersection, it appears Shott made a left turn, during which police say a southbound 18-wheeler failed to slow down in time for the red light. This led to the 18-wheeler crashing into Shott's vehicle.

As a result of the collision, Shott was said to have incapacitating injuries. There were no other confirmed injuries. It appears witnesses told authorities that Shott had a green light at the time of the collision, but there is no confirmation about whether or not charges have been filed.
