One Injured in Car/Van Accident in Las Vegas, NV

Las Vegas, NV — August 16, 2023, a person was injured in a car/van accident at Eastern Avenue and Capistrano Avenue, north of Desert Inn Road in Las Vegas, NV.

Authorities indicate that on August 16, a crash occurred when two vehicles collided just north of Desert Inn Road in Las Vegas. According to reports, the accident happened shortly before 9:30 at night.

Investigators say a Sprinter van struck a Nissan when the Nissan attempted to make A U-turn from Eastern Avenue. Police say the Sprinter van was traveling south on Eastern Avenue when the vehicles collided.

Officials confirmed the Nissan driver suffered severe injuries. The van driver reportedly escaped the crash with no injuries. Authorities suspected the Nissan driver of driving under the influence of alcohol, but nothing has been confirmed at this time.

The investigation is ongoing.
