Texarkana Man, 1 Injured in Truck Accident on U.S. 67 in Redwater, TX

Bowie County, TX — August 3, 2023, a Texarkana man and another driver were injured following a commercial truck accident at around 11:00 a.m. on U.S. 67.

Investigators said in their statements that the accident happened along U.S. Highway 67 near the intersection of Commercial Park Road.

According to current information from officials, a 70-year-old Texarkana man was in a Hyundai Sonata that was going westbound along the highway. That vehicle reportedly came to a stop along the center turn lane. That vehicle then tried to merge onto westbound lanes where it crossed paths and collided with a semi-truck.

Due to the collision, the Texarkana man sustained incapacitating injuries. The truck driver reportedly had non-incapacitating injuries. At this time, no further information about the crash can be confirmed.
