Child Injured in Hotel Pool Accident in Pensacola Beach, FL

Pensacola Beach, FL — August 28, 2023, a child sustained injuries due to a near drowning at a hotel pool at around 6:00 p.m. off of Via De Luna Drive.

Investigators said that the incident happened at a hotel in the 10 block of Via De Luna Drive. There appear to be multiple hotels and results on this stretch of road, but authorities didn't specify which hotel the incident occurred at.

At this time, the incident has only been described as a "near drowning." Emergency responders came to the scene and transported the child from the scene via helicopter. The child's current condition is not clear at this time. No further information can be confirmed pending investigations.
