Elizabeth G. Ramirez Killed in Car Accident in Midland, TX

Midland, TX — August 18, 2023, Elizabeth Ramirez sustained fatal injuries as the result of a car accident at around 12:15 a.m. along Wadley Avenue.

Authorities said in their initial reports that the accident occurred along West Wadley Avenue between the Godfrey Street and Tarleton Street intersections.

According to officials, 23-year-old Elizabeth "Lizzie" Ramirez was said to have been on foot at the time. In a series of events which is not entirely clear at this time, authorities say that a vehicle hit Ramirez along the center lane of eastbound Wadley.

Ramirez was said to have serious injuries immediately following the accident and was taken to a hospital in Lubbock. It appears that Ramirez has since passed away due to her injuries. Details about the driver, whether or not they stayed at the scene, and whether or not there are pending charges all remains unclear at this time.
