Two Injured in Rollover Accident at Hwy. 161 and Hwy. 114 in Irving, TX

Irving, TX — August 26, 2023, two people were injured in the evening hours when their vehicle fell from the Hwy. 161 overpass onto Hwy. 114 in Irving.

Investigators report the passenger vehicle was traveling along President George Bush Turnpike (aka Hwy. 161) in the planned community of Las Colinas when it somehow drove off an overpass, fell onto an access road for Hwy. 114, and rolled down an embankment onto the main Highway.

Two occupants were reportedly taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.

Officials have not released what factors led up to this crash or how the vehicle was able to drop from the overpass onto a road about 15 feet below.
