Mark Alan Tigner Killed, Seven Injured in Bus Accident on Interstate 90 in Mankato, MN

Mankato, MN — August 26, 2023, Mark Alan Tigner was killed, and seven were injured in a bus collision on Interstate 90 in Makato, MN.

Authorities indicate that on August 26, a fatal accident occurred when, for unknown reasons, a Mustang and a bus crashed in Mankato. According to reports, the two vehicles collided while traveling through a work zone on Interstate 90.

As investigators determine the cause of the crash, few details have been released. Officials confirmed the Mustang driver, 55-year-old Mark Alan Tigner, suffered fatal injuries. Police say seven teenage girls on board the bus at the time of the accident were taken to an area hospital. Authorities say none of the injuries were life-threatening.

No other injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing.
