Juan Alfredo Vazquez-Quevedo and One Other Killed in Car Accident on U.S Route 79 near Milano, TX

Milano, TX — August 4, 2023, Juan Alfredo Vazquez-Quevedo and one other person were killed in a car accident on U.S. Route 79 in Milam County near Milano, TX.

Authorities say that on August 4, a fatal crash occurred when a GMC SUV and a Honda collided on U.S. Route 79 near Milano. According to reports, the crash happened at approximately 3:50 in the afternoon.

Investigators say the GMC was traveling west on Route 79 when it suddenly entered the path of the Honda, which was traveling in the opposite direction. Police say the two vehicles made contact while attempting to navigate a curve in the road. Authorities say the GMC crossed over into the eastbound lane, and the two vehicles collided head-on.

Officials confirmed the Honda driver, Juan Alfredo Vazquez-Quevedo, and a passenger were killed in the crash. No other injuries were reported.

The investigation is ongoing.
