Tyesha Nikole Tanner, Teenager Killed, One Injured in Car Accident in Milam County, TX

Milam County, TX — August 20, 2023, Tyesha Nikole Tanner and a teenager were killed, and one was injured in a car accident on FM 486 in Milam County, TX.

Authorities say that on August 20, a fatal collision occurred between a Kia and a Dodge pickup in Milam County. According to reports, the crash happened shortly before 11:00 in the morning.

Investigators say the Kia was heading south along Farm-to-Market Road 486 when the crash occurred. Police say the Kia attempted to turn left into a parking lot when the Dodge pickup rear-ended it.

Officials confirmed two Kia occupants, Tyesha Nikole Tanner, 42, and a 14-year-old male, suffered fatal injuries in the collision. The Dodge driver, whose name has not been released, reportedly sustained injuries and was taken to a hospital. There is no word on the extent of the injuries, but sources say the Dodge driver is in stable condition.

Investigators have not determined the cause of the accident. The investigation is ongoing.
