Grayce Cozart Killed in Accident on Loop 820 at Beach Street in Fort Worth, TX

UPDATE (August 29, 2023): Officials released the name of the victim, identifying them as 27-year-old Grayce Ann Marie Cozart. No further information is available at this time.

Fort Worth, TX — August 25, 2023, one person was fatally injured due to an accident at around 1:00 a.m. along Interstate 820.

Authorities said in their statements that the collision occurred along the eastbound lanes of the interstate in the area of Beach Street.

It's unclear at this time exactly what all led to the accident. Details suggest that a pedestrian was walking at the time and may have attempted to walk across lanes of travel. Doing so, a vehicle struck that pedestrian.

Emergency services were called to the scene, and the pedestrian was pronounced deceased due to the accident. Authorities have not yet publicly identified the victim, and there isn't any clear information about the driver involved. Investigations are ongoing.
