Truck Driver Killed in Accident on Interstate 287 in Bedminster, NJ

Bedminster, NJ — August 25, 2023, a truck driver was killed in an accident on Interstate 287 near the Route 206 exit ramp in Somerset County in Bedminster, NJ.

Authorities say that on August 25, a Freightliner truck was traveling southbound along Interstate 287 when it suddenly left the roadway for unknown reasons. Police say the truck ran off the side of the interstate and went down a roadside embankment. Sources say the crash happened at approximately 5:00 in the morning.

Investigators say another vehicle was involved in the accident, but the details were not released. Officials confirmed that the truck driver, who has not been identified, suffered fatal injuries. It is unknown if the vehicle driver sustained injuries in the crash.
