Ami Napier, Jimmy Napier Jr., Child Killed, One Injured in Semi-Truck Accident in Phenix City, AL

Phenix City, AL — August 27, 2023, Ami Napier, Jimmy Napier Jr., and a child were killed, and one was injured in a semi-truck crash on Highway 80 East in Phenix City, AL.

Authorities say that on August 27, a fatal crash occurred when an SUV and a semi-truck collided in Phenix City. Investigators say the SUV struck the rear of the semi while traveling on Highway 80 East. Additional details about the crash were not released.

Officials confirmed the SUV driver, Ami Napier, 32, Jimmy Napier Jr., 33, and a minor child suffered fatal injuries in the collision. Police say another minor child, who was reportedly a backseat passenger in the SUV, was severely injured. There is no word on the condition of the child at this time.

Authorities are continuing to investigate the cause of the accident.
