Agustina Cano-De Arambula Killed, 1 Injured in Big Rig Accident in Fresno County, CA

Fresno County, CA — August 23, 2023, Agustina Cano-De Arambula was killed and one was injured after a big rig accident at around 9:20 p.m. along Manning Avenue.

Authorities said that the incident happened in the area of the Mannin Avenue and Yuba Avenue intersection just outside of San Joaquin.

According to officials, 70-year-old Agustina Cano-De Arambula and a 72-year-old man were in a Honda HRV said to be going westbound along Manning Avenue. While traveling down the road, investigators say a Freightliner tractor-trailer made a turn out of a field to go eastbound on Manning. The tractor-trailer crossed westbound lanes, and the Honda crashed into it.

As a result of the collision, Arambula and the man in the Honda had serious injuries. Arambula reportedly succumbed to her injuries. There were no other confirmed injuries. Right now, additional details about factors surrounding the accident are unavailable.
