Joseph Nunez Killed in Motorcycle Accident on Highway 287 in Decatur, TX

Decatur, TX — July 15, 2023, Joseph Nunez was killed in a motorcycle accident on Highway 287 at County Road 4228 in Decatur, TX.

Authorities indicate that on July 15, a fatal accident occurred when a motorcycle and a vehicle collided on Highway 287 in Decatur. According to reports, the crash happened around 1:15 in the afternoon.

Police say the vehicle was traveling along County Road 4228 when it failed to yield to a motorcycle heading south on Highway 287. Sources say the two vehicles collided, severely injuring the motorcyclist.

Officials say the motorcyclist, 47-year-old Joseph Nunez, was flown to an area hospital for medical attention but succumbed to his injuries a short time later. The vehicle driver was not hurt in the crash.

The investigation is ongoing.
