One Killed in Car Accident on Eastbound Interstate 20 in Arlington, TX

Arlington, TX — August 22, 2023, a person was killed in a car accident on Eastbound Interstate 20 and Cooper Street in Tarrant County, Arlington, TX.

Authorities indicate that on August 22, a fatal accident occurred when two vehicles collided in Arlington for unknown reasons. According to reports, the crash occurred shortly before 5:30 in the morning. Police say an SUV was traveling eastbound along I-20 and hit a car while attempting to pass. Sources say the SUV then overturned and struck a pole.

Investigators suggest speed may have been a factor in the crash, but this has not been confirmed. Officials confirmed the SUV driver, who has not been identified, suffered fatal injuries in the crash.

No other injuries were reported. The investigation is ongoing.
