William Randol Ellison Jr. Injured in Car Accident in San Augustine County, TX

San Augustine County, TX — July 23, 2023, William Ellison Jr. was injured as the result of a single-vehicle accident at around 2:40 a.m. along U.S. Highway 96.

According to initial details about the crash released by authorities, the incident took place along the northbound lanes of U.S. 96 near the intersection with Highway 103.

Officials said in statements that 44-year-old William Randol Ellison Jr. was in a Chevy Silverado that was going northbound along U.S. 96. For reasons which aren't clear right, the vehicle somehow went off the right side of the road. There, it careened across the Highway 103 entrance ramp, then crashed into an embankment.

Ellison was said to have injuries described as incapacitating due to the crash. No further information about the accident can be confirmed at this time.
