Austin Durrett Killed in Car Accident on S. Broadway Ave. in Tyler, TX

Tyler, TX — August 18, 2023, Austin Durrett, 36, from Jacksonville, was killed in a car accident around 7:15 p.m. on S. Broadway Ave. in Tyler.

According to reports, Durrett was driving a black Toyota pickup truck southbound on S. Broadway, between Market Square Blvd. and Loop 49, when his vehicle allegedly made contact with another vehicle. The collision reportedly resulted in the pickup truck overturning several times.

Durrett was purportedly pronounced deceased at the scene of the accident. The other driver involved was taken to the hospital with reportedly minor injuries.

Investigators have not said what factors led up to the crash. There are no other updates at this time.
