Ronald Risen, Belkisa Huskic, 4 Injured in Car Accident in Keene, TX

Johnson County, TX — July 23, 2023, Ronald Risen, Belkisa Huskic, and four others, including children, were hurt after a car accident at 2:35 p.m. on U.S. 67.

Authorities said in statements that the incident took place along U.S. Highway 67 near the intersection of Donna Street.

According to current public information, 42-year-old Ronald Risen was in a Lexus driven by a 53-year-old Arkansas man. They were said to be going westbound along U.S. 67. 35-year-old Belkisa Huskic was identified as the driver of a Toyota Camry also going westbound. Authorities say they believe Huskic went onto the left turn lane, but the Lexus somehow crashed into the back of the Toyota.

Due to the crash, Risen and the driver of the Lexus were said to have incapacitating injuries. Huskic and three children were left with unspecified but apparently non-serious injuries, details suggest. This and other details remain unconfirmed pending further investigations.
