Pedestrian Killed in Hit-and-run Accident on I-35 in Frio County, TX

Frio County, TX — July 31, 2023, a pedestrian sustained fatal injuries due to an alleged hit-and-run accident at around 10:15 p.m. along Interstate 35.

Details released by the authorities indicate that the fatal collision took place along the southbound lanes of the interstate in the area of mile marker 109.

At this time, authorities suggest that a 29-year-old woman, unidentified at this time, was on foot in the area of the interstate. In a series of events not entirely clear, authorities believe that a vehicle struck the woman, then left the scene. Authorities mentioned the possibility that driver may have been drinking, but there is no indication at this time that they've identified a suspect.

As a result of the collision, the unidentified woman succumbed to fatal injuries. There were no other injuries reported. Investigations are ongoing.
