Adam Victor Mendez Killed in Crash After Striking a Loose Pallet on I-35 in San Antonio, TX

UPDATE (August 28, 2023): Sources including Bexar County officials identified the rider killed in the accident as 41-year-old Adam Victor Mendez (initially said to be 31 years old in local news outlets). Currently, there is no further information about the pallet left in the road and whether or not authorities know how lost the object. Investigations are ongoing.

San Antonio, TX — August 20, 2023, a 41-year-old man was killed while riding a motorcycle near I-35 and Rittiman Road in San Antonio. The exact time of the crash remains unknown.

According to reports, the motorcycle struck a pallet that was on the road, causing the rider to lose control. The motorcycle subsequently crashed into a tree. The man was purportedly pronounced deceased at the scene of the incident around 1 p.m. as that is when authorities were reportedly called out to the crash scene.

Authorities have not released any official statements or reports regarding the incident.
