Betty Bohmer Killed in Truck Accident on Highway 221 in Roebuck, SC

Roebuck, SC — August 23, 2023, Betty Bohmer was killed in a truck accident on Highway 221 at South Carolina Highway 290 in Roebuck, SC.

Authorities indicate that on August 23, a fatal accident occurred involving two vehicles in Roebuck. Investigators say a vehicle and a truck collided as the vehicle attempted a turn onto South Carolina Highway 290 from Highway 221. According to reports, the oncoming truck struck the vehicle at approximately 7:00 in the morning.

Officials confirmed the vehicle driver, 47-year-old Betty Bohmer, suffered fatal injuries in the collision. The truck driver was reportedly hurt in the crash and was transported to an area hospital—the extent of the truck driver's injuries is unknown.

No other injuries were reported.
