Five Injured in Semi-Truck Accident on Highway 19 in Lee County, GA

Lee County, GA — August 22, 2023, five people were injured in an SUV/semi-truck collision on Highway 19 in Lee County, GA.

Authorities indicate that on August 22, a crash occurred when two vehicles collided on Highway 19 for unknown reasons. Investigators say an SUV allegedly ran a stop sign as it attempted to enter Highway 19 from Linden Road. Police say the SUV drove into the path of an oncoming semi-truck, and the two vehicles collided.

Authorities have not determined the cause of the accident. Officials confirmed five SUV occupants suffered injuries, one critically, and were taken to an area hospital. No other injuries were reported.

Detectives are still investigating the crash.
