Heriberto Cantu Killed, Cody West, Seth Schulte, Zachary Reyes, Danny Anderson Injured in Truck Accident in Swisher County, TX

Swisher County, TX — August 23, 2023, Heriberto Cantu was killed, and Cody West, Seth Schulte, Zachary Reyes, and Danny Anderson were injured in a truck accident at Highway 86 and FM 2301 in Swisher County, TX.

Authorities indicate that on August 23, a fatal accident occurred when two vehicles collided in Swisher County for unknown reasons. Police say a Ford pickup truck traveling west on Highway 86 and a Silverado collided in the intersection. Investigators say the Silverado was heading north on FM 2301 and allegedly ran the stop sign, crashing into the Ford pickup. The accident happened shortly after 5:30 p.m.

Officials confirmed the Silverado driver, 35-year-old Heriberto Cantu, suffered fatal injuries. The Ford occupants, Cody West, 23, Seth Schulte, 26, Zachary Reyes, 21, and Danny Anderson, 33, all reportedly sustained injuries in the collision. All four Ford occupants reportedly received medical treatment for non-life-threatening injuries.
