Ernesto Romo Ceniceros, Elias Trevizo Orozco Killed, Elias Trevizo Jr., 2 Injured in Car Accident in Horizon City, TX

UPDATE (November 6, 2023): Further details from authorities identified some of the people involved in the crash and clarified events surrounding the accident.

According to officials, 67-year-old Ernesto Romo Ceniceros, 44-year-old Elias Trevizo Orozco, 18-year-old Elias Trevizo Jr., and a 15-year-old were in a Chevy Silverado said to be going westbound on Horizon Boulevard. While the Chevy was turning toward the Dollar General, an oncoming pickup crashed into it.

Due to the collision, Ernesto Romo Ceniceros and Elias Trevizo Orozco suffered fatal injuries. Trevizo Jr. and the 15-year-old had apparently incapacitating injuries. The other driver, a 19-year-old, had non-incapacitating injuries.

No further information can be confirmed right now.

Horizon City, TX — August 23, 2023, two people were killed and three others were injured around 9 p.m. at Horizon Blvd. and North Ascension Street.

According to officials, two vehicles collided near a Dollar General store, resulting in two fatalities. Authorities also report medical personnel transported three injured individuals to a nearby medical center for necessary care.

The cause of the incident is still under investigation.
