Gilbert Werema, Victor Galindo Injured in Car Accident in Allen, TX

Allen, TX — July 28, 2023, Gilbert Werema and Victor Galindo were injured as the result of a car accident at around 10:50 p.m. along Stacy Road.

Information released by police officials indicate that the incident took place in the area of the West Stacy Road and Platt Park Way intersection.

According to current statements, 25-year-old Victor Daniel Galindo was in a Tesla that was going eastbound on Stacy Road. 63-year-old Gilbert Joshua Werema was the driver of a Nissan Pathfinder, also going eastbound. Somehow, a collision occurred in which the Tesla hit the back of the Nissan. One of the two vehicles then reportedly hit a nearby Chevy Tahoe.

Due to the collision, Galindo reportedly had incapacitating injuries. Authorities said they were not able to speak to Galindo at the scene due to the severity of his injuries. Werema's injuries were said to be non-incapacitating. It appears there were no other injuries.

Authorities didn't mention whether or not the Tesla had any kind of AutoPilot active when the crash occurred. The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
