Omar Cabrera Rodriguez Injured in Truck Accident in Chappell Hill, TX

Washington County, TX — August 10, 2023, Omar Cabrera Rodriguez sustained injuries due to a commercial vehicle accident at approximately 5:59 a.m. on U.S. 290.

Authorities said that the incident took place along westbound lanes of U.S. 290 at the intersection of Farm-to-Market 1155.

According to preliminary statements, 38-year-old Omar Cabrera Rodriguez was in a Chevy Sonic that was traveling westbound along U.S. Highway 290. At the F.M. 1155 intersection, it appears a southbound tractor-trailer allegedly failed to yield at a private driver, pulling across westbound lanes. The Chevy then crashed into the side of the trailer.

As a result of the collision, Cabrera Rodriguez reportedly had incapacitating injuries. It does not appear that the truck driver or anyone else was hurt due to the crash. Authorities have not released any further details which can be confirmed at this time.
