Romelius Fannin Killed in 18-Wheeler Accident in Troup County, GA

Troup County, GA — August 22, 2023, Romelius Fannin was killed in an 18-wheeler collision on Interstate 85 in Troup County, GA.

Authorities indicate that on August 22, a fatal accident occurred when a moped and an 18-wheeler collided on Interstate 85 for unknown reasons. According to reports, the accident happened at approximately 11:30 at night in Troup County.

Investigators say the moped was traveling from Exit 28 on Southbound Interstate 85 when it made contact with the 18-wheeler. Police say the moped and the truck crashed in the area of the Interstate 185 interchange.

Officials confirmed the moped rider, 18-year-old Romelius Fannin, suffered fatal injuries in the crash. No other injuries were reported. The accident is still under investigation.
