Truck Driver Injured in Accident on Interstate 94 near Libertyville, IL

Libertyville, IL — August 22, 2023, a truck driver was injured in an accident involving two semi-trucks on Interstate 94 near Libertyville, IL.

Authorities indicate that on August 22, an accident occurred when, for unknown reasons, two semi-truck collided on Interstate 94. According to reports, the accident happened shortly before 5:00 in the morning near Libertyville.

Investigators say both semi-trucks were heading west along Interstate 94 when one of the trucks struck the rear of the other. Additional details about the cause of the crash have not been given at this time.

Officials say the driver of the rear-ended truck was not hurt in the accident. The other truck driver reportedly suffered several injuries, but none were said to be life-threatening. The injured driver was taken to an area hospital for medical treatment.

No other injuries were reported.
