Ilcel Pacheco Killed, 3 Injured in Car Accident in Polk County, TX

Polk County, TX — August 2, 2023, Ilcel Pacheco was killed and three people were injured following a single-vehicle accident at 2:51 p.m. along F.M. 1988.

Authorities said that the incident took place along Farm-to Market 1988 and Walters Lane.

According to officials, 30-year-old Ilcel Pacheco and three children were in a Honda Odyssey that was said to be going westbound along F.M. 1988. Where the road crosses a creek, the vehicle somehow went off the side of the road, hit a guardrail, then crashed into the creek bed. The vehicle overturned in the process.

As a result of the accident, Pacheco sustained fatal injuries. One of the kids was said to have incapacitating injuries while the other two had non-incapacitating injuries. Additional details about the crash remain unconfirmed at this time.
