Julio Cesar Lopez Killed in Car Accident in Madison County, TX

Madison County, TX — April 18, 2023, Julio Cesar Lopez was fatally injured due to a car accident at around 1:45 a.m. along Highway 90.

Preliminary information released by authorities indicated that the incident took place in the area of the Highway 90 and Florida Lane intersection.

According to initial statements, 38-year-old Julio Cesar Lopez was reportedly in a GMC Canyon pickup that was traveling northbound along lanes of Highway 90. It appears the vehicle drifted off the side of the road while rounding a curve, causing it to careen into the tree line.

Due to the severity of the crash, authorities say Lopez was ejected from the vehicle and sustained fatal injuries. Authorities did not mention anyone else being involved in the crash. Right now, the exact cause of the crash cannot be confirmed.
