According to current public information, 69-year-old Jackquline Berner was said to be the driver of a Lincoln Corsair that was going southbound on main lanes of the tollway. While doing so, it appears that a Freightliner tractor-trailer made an unsafe lane change. This led to the tractor-trailer hitting a Kenworth semi-trailer, which in turn crashed into Berner's vehicle.

As a result of the accident, Berner reportedly sustained incapacitating injuries. There were no other reported injuries. Details at this time indicate authorities recommended citations against the Freightliner driver, and they also allege the driver of the Kenworth was driving without a commercial license. No further information can be released at this time.
