Truck Driver Injured in Accident on Interstate 10 in Phoenix, AZ

Phoenix, AZ — August 22, 2023, a truck driver was injured in an accident on Interstate 10 near Wintersburg Road in Phoenix, AZ.

Authorities say that on August 22, a collision occurred between a tanker truck and another commercial truck in Phoenix. According to reports, the crash happened shortly before 10:15 in the morning on Interstate 10 near Wintersburg Road.

Investigators say the tanker truck was hauling fuel when it overturned in the median on Interstate 10. The crash reportedly caused the tanker to leak fuel onto the roadway. Additional details as to the cause of the accident have not been released at this time.

Officials confirmed the tanker truck driver suffered injuries and was taken to an area hospital. The driver's injuries were reported as minor and non-life-threatening. It is unknown if the other driver was injured in the collision. No further information is currently available.
