Truckers Injured in Dump Truck Accident on U.S. 20 near Pavilion, NY

Genesee County, NY — August 21, 2023, two drivers were injured following a dual commercial truck accident Monday afternoon on U.S. Route 20.

Details released in local news outlets indicate that the incident took place in the area of the South Street Road and U.S. 20 (Telephone Road) intersection sometime before 2:30 p.m.

According to authorities, the incident involved a tractor-trailer which was crossing the intersection going eastbound along Route 20. As the semi crossed, authorities allege a dump truck going southbound "blew through a stop sign." This resulted in the 18-wheeler and the dump truck colliding.

Following the collision, statements suggest that the tractor-trailer driver went to a hospital with serious injuries. The dump truck driver's injuries were described as minor. There were no other confirmed injuries. Right now, it's unclear if any charges or citations are pending.
