David V. Eide Jr. Killed in Motorcycle Accident in Jacksonville, TX

Jacksonville, TX — August 12, 2023, David V. Eide Jr. was killed in a motorcycle collision at Highway 69 and Jowell Street in Cherokee County, Jacksonville, TX.

Authorities indicate that on August 12, a fatal accident occurred when a motorcycle and a pickup truck collided in Jacksonville for unknown reasons. According to reports, the crash happened in the afternoon at the intersection of Highway 69 and Jowell Street.

Investigators say the motorcycle was heading south on Highway 69 when a pickup, attempting to go through the intersection, proceeded without yielding the right of way. Officials say the two vehicles crashed, killing 53-year-old David V. Eide Jr.

No other injuries were reported. Authorities are continuing to investigate the crash. No further information has been released.
