Justin Fields Killed, Deloris Halpain Injured in Motorcycle Accident in Lubbock, TX

Lubbock, TX — August 11, 2023, Justin Fields was killed, and Deloris Halpain was injured in a motorcycle crash at East Loop 289 and East 50th Street in Lubbock, TX.

Authorities indicate that on August 11, a fatal crash occurred when a motorcycle and an SUV collided in Lubbock for unknown reasons. According to reports, the crash happened sometime before 12:30 in the afternoon at East Loop 289 and East 50th Street.

Investigators say the SUV was traveling north on Loop 289 when the crash happened. The motorcycle was heading east on 50th Street, and the two vehicles collided in the intersection.

Officials confirmed the motorcyclist, 41-year-old Justin Fields, suffered fatal injuries. Deloris Halpain, a motorcycle passenger, sustained severe injuries and was transported to an area hospital. The SUV driver and a teenage passenger were also injured and were taken to a hospital for medical attention.

No additional information has been released. The investigation into the crash is ongoing.
