Isaac Syed Injured in Hit-and-run Accident on Westheimer Road in Houston, TX

UPDATE (August 25, 2023): Details from authorities identified the victim injured in the accident as 32-year-old Isaac Syed. Details about the alleged runaway driver are still under investigation.

Houston, TX — July 23, 2023, a man sustained injuries as the result of an apparent hit-and-run accident at around 8:55 p.m. along Westheimer Road.

According to recent information provided by authorities, the search continues for a driver suspected of fleeing an accident scene at Westheimer Road and North Shepherd Drive.

Details at this time suggest that a 32-year-old man was on a Honda motorcycle at the time traveling along Westheimer. It appears that a red Ford F-150 going southbound on north Shepherd made an illegal left-hand turn, crashing into the motorcycle. The Ford then left the scene of the collision.

It appears the 32-year-old motorcyclist was taken to a hospital with injuries. Their current condition is unclear. Authorities continue to look for the suspect vehicle, and authorities have published surveillance images of the vehicle they're looking for.
