Child, 2 Injured in Car Accident on Barker Cypress Road in Harris County, TX

Harris County, TX — August 21, 2023, a child and two others sustained injuries as the result of a car accident early Monday along Barker Cypress Road.

According to information about the accident released by Harris County Sheriff's officials, the crash happened at the intersection of Barker Cypress Road and Jarvis Road.

Right now, the exact circumstances surrounding the crash are still under investigation. Authorities say that a white SUV and a black sedan were both going through the above intersection. It's unclear at this time who had the right-of-way. The two vehicles somehow collided.

As a result of the crash, a 10-year-old child and both drivers were said to be seriously hurt. There are currently indications that authorities are considering intoxication as a contributing factor. No further information can be confirmed.
