Two Injured in Tractor-Trailer Accident on Route 301 in Gainesville, FL

Gainesville, FL — August 19, 2023, two people were injured in a tractor-trailer/SUV crash on Route 301 in Alachua County, Gainesville, FL.

Authorities say that on August 19, a collision occurred between a tractor-trailer and an SUV on Route 301. According to reports, the SUV was traveling in the opposite direction in the southbound lanes and entered the path of an oncoming tractor-trailer. Sources say the vehicles were able to avoid crashing head-on but resulted in a side-impact collision. The accident happened sometime before 10:00 in the morning.

Officials confirmed the SUV driver suffered severe injuries and was flown to an area hospital for medical attention. The truck driver reportedly had minor injuries. No further information has been released.

No other injuries were reported.
