Matthew Bancroft Killed in Motorcycle Accident in Houston, TX

Houston, TX — August 14, 2023, Matthew Bancroft was identified as the victim in a motorcycle accident at 9:30 p.m. along the Eastex Freeway.

Initial statements say that the incident took place along the 4900 block of U.S. Highway 59/I-69 at the Loop 610 interchange.

According to officials, a Suzuki motorcycle was going northbound along Eastex Freeway at the time. Harris County officials identified that person as 28-year-old Matthew Bancroft. It appears Bancroft was taking the transfer ramp from Eastex to North Loop 610 West. While doing so, however, the motorcycle somehow crashed into the barrier on the transfer ramp. This led to Bancroft falling over the side of the ramp.

As a result of the accident, Bancroft sustained fatal injuries. there were no other individuals or vehicles reported to have been involved in the crash. No further information can be confirmed at this time.
